nyfw vs tiff

The city is filled with film screenings and celebrities but all I want to do is go to NYFW. The collections are so colourful!. Just as I was getting into the deeper colours of autumn and getting excited for chunky knits and layers of socks and boots, I now want to wear stripes with punches of colour and intensity. I want to put on layers of silks and chiffon that feel like I'm wrapped in clouds and sunshine instead.

Why can't every day be like a street festival day? I want road closures and pedestrians every which way, traffic lights that blink but don't matter. I want strange food trucks that bring me elk sausages and tornado potato and poutine in a box. I want to see strange tricks and giant balloons and hand-made crafts.

Can it be September already? I will be regretting this come winter but I want to pile on sweaters and knits, socks and boots and arm candy that won't make my arm sweat. I want to wear chunky scarves without looking homeless. I want dark intense colours that won't compete with my fading tan.

As much as I love the summer heat, I am dying to wear fall fashions. I want to pull out all my knits and trousers and start wearing socks again. My feet are going to be so happy in boots! 
I want to pile on the arm party and not have arm sweat. Is that too much to ask for?
